Since emerald was named the color of the year last year, there’s been no shortage of beautiful emerald wedding inspiration! I even have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to it!

What I’ve been thrilled about, however, is how it’s also made its way into daily life — from gorgeous fashion to beautiful nails! Emerald is a force to be reckoned with, and I don’t see it going anywhere soon.

If you’re looking to incorporate this color into your look or your wedding, here are my top three tips:

  1. Use emerald sparingly. Emerald green is a strong color, so it’s important not to go overboard. Find creative ways to tie it in, but be sure to use other colors as well.
  2. Pick strong coordinating colors. While many other jewel tones mix well with emerald, I personally love this color with gold! Pink looks great as well.
  3. Emerald looks great in prints. Since it’s such a popular color, fashion, as well as wedding decor fabrics have done a great job of incorporating it into prints! That’s another great way to use this color without creating emerald-overload.
